Q: What is the turn-around time for a quilt?
A:My turn-around time varies based on the time of year. Generally, quilts take 3-5 weeks to complete. Contact me for current turn-around time.
Q: On the pricing sheet, why is there a range of items needed?
A: I suggest people have a few extra items because, as we start planning your quilt, you might find that you don't want to include certain items. This way you'll have a few optional items.
Q: Do I need to include sashing on my quilt to make it the estimated size?
A: No, including sashing will add a few inches to the estimated size of the quilt.
Q: What kinds of items can I include in my quilt?
A: You can include almost anything! So far, I have been able to use t-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, sweaters, sport-tech shirts, bathing suits, socks, jackets, hats, flags, bags, coats, denim, and towels. You can mix up your collection - it doesn't have to be all one type of fabric.
Q: How do I care for my quilt?
A: Spot clean any mishaps (spills happen). For general cleaning, I recommend a gentle/delicate wash and line dry to keep your quilt looking good for years to come.
Q: Can I add items to my quilt after it's completed?
A: Unfortunately, items cannot be added once your quilt is assembled. I tell customers to make sure they have everything they'd like to include in their quilt when we meet to plan the quilt. If you find an item after we've meet that you'd like to include, contact me to find out if your quilt has been started - if not, you can mail the item or bring it to me. This may delay your quilts completion. If it's too late to include something or if you find an item after your quilt has been delivered, consider making that stray item into an accent pillow (or start saving more items to make another quilt)!
